Hiring is just around the corner

The National Association for Business Economics this morning released interesting data.  Namely, that of its surveyed companies, 42% are expecting to add more jobs in the next six months.  Contrasted with that, only 7% said that they expect to have fewer jobs.

Analysis: I consider this survey to be a positive thing.  Unfortunately, the NABE survey only asked 84 companies.  While these businesses are sizable and represent a cross-section of U.S. industry, the survey is not that comprehensive.  However, it is the latest piece of data to confirm my belief that 2011 will finally see a significant dent made in the unemployment rate.

Importance grade: 5; the survey is not important enough to warrant a higher rating.  However, it is another piece of data in a growing mound of information that suggests that not only has the unemployment situation bottomed, but also that it has turned around.  Hiring is just around the corner.
